The Morison Collections
Jane Fraser Morison, musician and collector of Gaelic airs, Kintail Manse, Wester Ross, produced 2 collections of Highland Airs and Quicksteps, which were published by Logan & Co, Inverness in 1882. Her notes to Book 2 say " the greater part of the Gaelic Airs... belong exclusively to the West Highlands, and have never before been published. They have all been arranged as simply as possible, to preserve the true pipe-like character of the Music".
